"Hi. I'd like to send this registered mail, please." "Registered mail? Postage as well? Do you want a return receipt? To you best knowledge, does this package contain hazardous or dangerous material? Do want stamps?" "Yes. Yes. No. No. No thank you. ... Huh?!" "We have to say it now." [Looks around, checks to make sure not at the airport by accident.] "Personally, I think it's overboard." "Huh?!" "Your letter should get there by Monday. That'll be $2.67." "Um ... do you need my passport too? . . . . . . . . . . For no good reason, I thought of Catherine Cheng today. She was so cool. She was quite pretty, and I had some fun hanging with her in high school. Or rather, trying to hang with her, she was never around, or with her boyfriend a lot. I should have asked her to prom (except, of course, for that whole boyfriend situation), and tried in vain to get her to crash it. I felt bad inviting her to my going away picnic at the New York Philharmonic concert in Central Park, as she was the only one there not in my tight social circle (she spent a lot of time alone at the far end of the picnic blanket). We had some great emails during college, always trying to get her to ask out her crush-of-the-months. She was so cool: living off campus with cooler guys in Montreal (McGill college), while I still shlepped it out at the engineering dorm (of all god-forsaken places). I looked so forward to meeting up with her again when I came back to New York after all these years (and no, I am not still carrying a torch for her. She's just damn cool). And then I got word she had joined a cult. And that things had gotten worse. And then I got a little sick in the stomach, because she had been so cool. At the very least her family's story will stay up for all to see. Damn you Swami Satchidananda! And to hell with Yogaville too!

I love cheese. And no, it's not the cheese commercials that have brainwashed me. I just like cheese. We have seminars occasionally, and as usual we have a nice cheese spread and fruit and crackers etc. But when it comes time to swoop in on the leftovers, I'm sucking up cheese like there's no tomorrow. Soft cheese, hard cheese, chedder, smoked, whatever. If it came from a cow, I'm taking a bite. A lot of bites, actually. . . . . . . . . . . Punctual, I try to be. Punctual, I'm not. Meant all week to a) send in the credit card bill (and at $600, that bill better be in on time), and b) reply to the wedding RSVP. Of course, neither got done. And I just realized this on the train ride home. Thank goodness for the train ride home. A moment to decompress, if you call riding in a screaming metal can for an hour decompression. So I called the bride to be and left a message, which of course was garbled and incoherent. "I'm so busy I lost track of time." instead came out "I've got so many things going on your wedding slipped my mind." "Hi, it's Gene, thank you for the invitation." came out instead "Hi, it's Gene from the East coast. I don't know if you remember me." From now on I'm scripting everything I say on the phone. . . . . . . . . . . Cousin has prom tonight. She should be getting home right ... now. Hope it was fun for her. More to report tomorrow. Oh, and a pic or two from Fleet Week.

I am coming to grips with the Tornado. Or at least that's the newest metaphor for my job. Got to get in early in the morning to batten down the hatches. Got to leave late at night after cleaning up the debris. Obscure heavy things get lifted to great heights of importance before falling back down to earth again with a heavy thud, scattering everything on the ground. A mad whirling swirl of papers and howling wind tears its way through my desk, tearing apart the order I've managed to impose. If I ignore the tornado, I can get some work accomplished. But it's a powerful storm that I sit under.

Javascript really annoys me. Nothing ever seems to want to work out right. But after fits and starts and several wasted hours, VIOLA, v 1.3 with dynamic content is ready for prime time. Now I really should be sleeping since I have to get up extra early and do laundry tomorrow. Really do laundry. But what's smelly clothing next to html coding. Hmm. Funny how the two go hand in hand ... Finally begun the process of retiring parts of my old page. At the very least put up a button to alert people that this page exists. I don't want to even get into how long it took to slap together that button (1.5 hours). :: Eating Out: $124

Groceries: $24
Being overbudget in the wrong category: scary.

So Blogger is puking on me. Template seems to have disappeared. Gonna waste another evening trying to fix this. Urgh.

I'm -> <- this close to never shopping at Sony Style again. That is, if I had ever purchased anything there that they had in stock. Today's double whammy was the lack of 4x6 photo availablity at the digital photo kiosk, and the lack of the PEGA-SP20 screen covers for my T665C Clie. I'd link you to the store location, but after wasting 1/2 an hour wading through SonyStyle's webpage, I simply got fed up and tired with it all. Little hint to Sony here, maybe you want to acknowledge the existence of your physical stores once in a while. What I did see that got me excited (until now, where I'm debating purchasing a Sony product ever again) was a nice looking metal tripod, definately an improvement over the older plastic crap they had before. :: Fleet Week was a lot of fun. Got to see some ships. Took a lot of pictures (to be posted later). Ate some meatloaf (look for review later). Today's theme is that I'm too tired from yesterday to do much today.

Mmmmmm. Counter Strike. I played some for the first time in a month or two. The rest did me good. I actually kicked some ass for a change. Maybe next time I'll challenge the 13 yr olds instead of the 9yr olds. :: city on a hill ... ... I want to live in a city in the sky. :: Gotta turn in. Laundry and then the ships with Jeff. Such is the exciting life of a single guy in New York.

Living in the city means seeing things you don't quite expect to see. Like the Red Bull mobile. Not that I particularily like Red Bull. But when you step out of the office and see it there. Well, that's just another day in New York. And if you walk down the street, and just happen to notice Spiderman above you. That's no big deal either. :: So, spent the evening working on a site redesign. I want to say minor, but thanks to my misunderstandings on tables, it took pretty much half the night. And without a copy of photoshop on my machine, that little sidebar logo took far too long to develop. :: Memorial Day is here at last. So now I can get a breather to get my desk in order. At least I got a little gift of appreciation from the boss. Now I can begin the meatloaf project in earnest. But after I go see the ships with Jeff. I love Fleet Week.

Finally uploaded some new pics. First of all, found yet another option for compressing my massive pics to managable sizes. The included Pixela ImageMaker software that came with my SONY DSC-P51can shrink my pics down. Of course, they are bigger, and I have to rename each one by hand, but the image quality is higher. So, not as good as ReaConverter, but for free not bad. See for yourself

Quick link before I turn in for the night (Hahahaha ... I'm still at work!): Coors Light - "The Wingman" Commercial

Been lazy in uploading pictures. But that's because I'm dealing with a 38.8 Kb pipe. But coming soon, real soon, will be my attempted entry for the mirror project. Until then, why not play around with n_gen a little while. I'm probably going to use a derivative design. :: Missed my outing at the Republican Meetup. But that's OK, they tend to be a little too rigt wing for me anyway. :: Going to see the Aegis cruisers this Saturday Sunday with the Jeff. Should be interesting indeedy. Sorry, nothing bloggy else to say. I'm not on the subway yet.

Sharpenning pencils should not be a big task. And yet, it's much harder then you would think. You run 10 pencils through the sharpenner. And then it says "I don't think so." And I have to let it take a nap for 5 minutes. For 100 pencils. Argh.

So the Big Project is over. Hopefully it'll lead to more and bigger business, but I'm too tired to find that out right now. My main concern is getting to sleep, and finding out who the mur is getting off on my floor at this time of night (I can hear the elevator from my desk). The Porject did not go smoothly. But it didn't implode. It actually went a lot smoother then I thought. For now Tomorrow it's back to the insanity. But at least I get to sleep in late. :: So in my quest to rediscover the web, I've stumbled back across WeddingChannel. com, a nice little multiple gift registry site. Pottery Barn AND Crate & Barrel in one place?! I'm in heaven now. Of course I found this through my cousin and E-vite, an online invitation service (free!). Naturally he thought of me for his upcoming USA wedding reception. This Saterday. With an RSVP date of 5/18/2003 (today is 5/20/2003). Thanks a lot buddy. If I weren't going to go see the Aegis cruiser this weekend with Jeff, I'd so priceline a ticket just to force you to cater one more person. :: Those three sweet words that warm every nerd's heart. your rebate is valid :: Kirkman's photo skillz are on display. Check it out. Liking the color saturation. Not so much on the composition. I really like the composition of the Bro. I need a tripod.

Beer advertising raised to art form (except for all that Flash, of course). So I'm still at work. And I'm trying to get home. But I keep remembering little things that need to get done. I hate little things. :: The subway is probably my best blogging time, I've come to realize. I have my most bloggy thoughts then. Too bad it's not safe to travel with my laptop out at these late hours. :: So I was thinking about men with guns. Big guns. In camouflage. On the street, in the subway. And then I got a little sad. It makes sense. Scary perfect sense. That's what they do, scout out a location for weeks or months before they attack. And nothing screws up a surveillence better then random appearences of men With big guns, Lots of guns. But it brings me back to Korea. Kimpo airport, actually. When I was checking in to go home, a pair of guys with guns (smaller guns) patrolled past, and I thought to myself, "Thank God I'm going home." Where none of that crap goes on. But I'm a New Yorker too. True blue. So, mr. army guy, Thank You for your protection and that IS a big gun you are carrying, but I got places to be 10 minutes ago, and if you insist on standing in the middle of the narrow passageway between my #2 train and my N train I'll run you over. Like I just did to those Danish tourists.

Once again jennycu.com provides both inspiration and information. Thank to her blog, getting my groove on to Vienna Teng (my new Sarah McLachlan, or Dony Wisnu in drag, depending on the light). Depending on just how indie she really is, I might actually break my $10 CD rule and get her CD. I don't buy CD's that are more then $10. Period. Music isn't worth more then $10. Period. And I don't buy CD's from the Big Five labels. And especially where the artist doesn't get a cut of every CD sale. I was my artists to make more music I like. I don't want to make the Tommy Mottola's of this world rich. Which, of course, is why I'm so conflicted about getting Speedballads by Republica. So of course this means I now have to listen to more indie music on http://www.iuma.com. :: So I've been feeling pretty blue past two days. I think it has to do with the stress and the tired of the Project. And the need for it to succeed. :: In other completely different news. I've decided to get started on other projects I always wanted to do that I never seem to have time to do. So look out for the upcoming: MeatLoaf Tour: Where I sample and review meatloaf from every place I can find it. Bi Bim Bop Tour: Same as the MeatLoaf Tour, only with the Korean dish Bi Bim Bop. Chinese Bakery reviews: I've got 3 stores I pass on my way to work. And more keep popping up. Somebody must be brave enough to review them all. All part of The Better Understanding Through Snack project. And as always, more photos! (Check out my entry for the mirrorproject when they start accepting entries again.)

OK, it's too late, but that's not unusual. Still at the job, but don't worry, I'm not doing jobby things ... still. I'm actually leaving. Finally. But I just blew about 3 hours of time doing some reading and catching up to the 14 yr. olds. So now I kinda get RSS. I haven't really seen people using the technology to syndicate stuff on websites, such as I've now done on my sidebar. All you have to do is find a website you like, with the XML logo , click on it to go to the RSS file. Enter the URL of the RSS file into the Wytheville Community College News Center RSS feed text input, and press enter. Voila! Javascript to slap into your webpage. Plus some customization options. Still can't figure out how to collapse the tables tho. Maybe I'll send in a request for that. Publishing is the more populor way to go, tho. Plenty of tutorials to do that. Although those who say you can do it using Blogger hosted on blog*spot free are either lairs or I'm messing things up. It's not even mentioned on The Unofficial Blogger FAQ. :: And this being the web, I found some other fun things along the way. No more "old school" for me. Get out of your pegged 501s and check this out!

Testing out RSS newsfeeds into my site. Hopefully the changes work well in my left sidebar.

So I just blew another 4 hours trying to learn more nerdy stuff, and failing pretty badly. Seems that when I was learning all the shiite about Java and javascript, and Perl 2 years ago the ground had already begun shifting beneath my feet. Shifting all the way back in time to technology I had once crossed and dismissed back in the day. I'm talking about RSS of course. I vaguely remember the stuff back in the days of Netscape. All I remember was it sucking. And now, of course, it's all the rage and I can't figure out how to use or produce it. (Not that I can if I could. I don't have a hosting service that lets me run cgi's.) At the very least I'd like to be able to use the user-end part of it. Subscribing content. Lord help me if I can find a place to do that. Maybe I should use the Google FAQ trick. :: The only good thing to come from all this is that I found another fun site to help me get my nerd on. www.webdevtips.com Oh, and some snarked Latin (Cicero, no less).

I've decided to try sucking it up and not complain so much about the office. Nobody wants to read about office whining. Because it's not really all that interesting for one. And because everybody has the same complaint I'll bet. I just wish I staying late at the office, for something I love. That's all. Anyhoo, what is scary about the office is that turnover is SO high. By the time I learn the new people's names, they're gone. I was taking pictures of events at the office, but I've come to the realization that there's no point. There's nothing permenant here to preserve. I'll probably do it just to make people feel better about themselves, that somebody cares when they are kicked out of here.

10:30PM really isn't a good time to be at work. Especially when you're working in PowerPoint. Tomorrow's task: knocking together a brochure out of Word of all things. It sucks being a graphic designer without any graphic design tools. Not that this is in my job description. Anywhere. :::::: In other news, my old boss got a gift from a client, but she was too full to eat it. So voila! Eel sushi for me! Yay!

Whoo hooo! Was watching the news, and the Straphanger's Campaign against the fare increase succeeded! Since the rate increase was based on cooked books and dubious public hearings, the Judge has ruled that the MTA has two weeks to roll back the fare hike! (assuming, of course, they don't appeal, which they will.) So looks like I'm not going to take a big hit in the wallet come this June 12th! Drinks are on me! So today was the last day of the R goodbye tour. Couple of co-workers ditched on him, so I went hunting around to take him out to lunch. I've only known the guy 6 months, so it pretty much meant nothing. But then L felt bad and came along to cheer him up too, so it was a good lunch. Sushi and stuff at Niko Niko. I paid, of course, which brings the R going away tour to $67 total. So tonight was the last episode of Dawson's Creek. I figured it was almost a phenomenon. I tried watching episodes this season, but it never quite interested me. Pretty people, nice camera work (or rather cinematographic work), some interestingly cute moments. But overall, nothing really hangs together very coherently. It doesn't help that I can't seem to keep track of what these pretty people are doing. Everybody's in love with everybody else, and every two weeks there's a unexpected suprise that could (but doesn't) change their lives forever. And then Jen dies. Was this series really about her? Are we supposed to care? And what's with the flash forward? The series was about the tediously painful day by day emotion by emotion events in these kids lives. And then we just skip ahead 5 years to season 10? And so only Joey makes it through college? Out of our (admittadly small) sample, Capside High is doing a 25% college rate? (And if we're going to try and count Audrey or Jack, remember, this show isn't about them. They're just there to fill time between Joey scenes.) And who is this Dawson character? Didn't he die in season 3 or something? Long story short, I still don't get it. Although that Joey and Pacey do make a cute couple. But I get the feeling it's mostly Joey. And I never got to see a creek scene. What a gyp.

Day 2 of the R going away tour. Once again found ourselves at Captain's Ketch. And once again most of us had too much to drink. Not me, I learned my lesson this time around. That, plus a major part of our project collapsing at the last minute really contributed to making the entire day a timewaster. At least Mikey was able to pull me out of work early for a change. We had a nice little chat on the subway, mostly me. So I decided to pull my ass out of my funk and devote myself to something besides the TV. And since I'll be heading to Kirkman soon, and his CD burner, it was only natural to dive headfirst into my digital camera. This neat little pic doesn't really do justice to the foggy streets. Streetlights kept drowning out the cool quad color beams from the stoplights. Desperately need a tripod.

I should be in bed. Dinner was late but tasty. So tasty in fact, I thought I'd share the recipe.
Buy thin sliced beef round or ribeye or presliced bulgolgi from the Korean store.
Marinate in soy sauce. Preferrably sem-pyong guk (gook) gan-jang. (That's soup soy sauce by the Sem-Pyong company).
One part soy sauce for one part water. Enough suger to sweeten the mix (I dip my finger in and taste it. Mmmm ... unsanitary).
Too much garlic and a ton of chopped scallions. Pepper. And lots (at least 2 table spoons) of sesame oil for that nutty falvor
Marinate for a day (or two hours) and then let's get ready to saute (or broil at 400F)
The secret to good bulgolgi (besides marinating for at least 2 hours) is slow cooking over a low flame.
Of course, I don't have the patience for that
Ahhh, ready to eat!
:: So, on Saturday, after the post office, I decided to walk along 34th Street and see if I could get a good shot of the Empire State Building. Most of them came out blurry. But it was it up in this nice eerie blue I had to try. I think it came out nice.

So once again it's pretty late and I'm doing some rather silly late night work. It's been a pretty deflating weekend for me. Found out on Saterday that KSA's all over the land have been blatently ripping off my KSA master list. Not that I've updated or done anything with it in two years. But still, at least they could link back to my page. Or give me credit. Or a shout-out at least. And, of course, the list is nearly worthless as half the links are now out of date. Sheesh. Students. They web is only 10 years old. And yet every year they have to do a complete redesign AND change the addy of their homepage? So, new project beckons. Update the list.
And hunt down the evil ones that have ripped me off.
The second gut check came from the far reaches of ... metafilter? Weird front page post, leads to weirder music page (Kompressor anyone?), leads to pic of cute girl, leads to nightmarish depression. OK, so she's younger. Quite a bit younger. So that's where the energy and the techno savvy come from. And she's cute, so (despite her protests), she's quite the populor. But c'mon! Working for a big ananymous company near the Financial District doing coding in C while not yet out of college
... after years of web design work in the village, of course on a desk you can land a carrier on inbetween raves and bars and clubbing 'till 6am. [head momentarily explodes with envy] Not that I want all of that now. I'm too old for half of that sunni (can't steal kirkman's trademark shiite). But when I was younger that's pretty much the life I wanted. Not that it's all fun. No sleep. At work until 10pm. 'Course, I'm at work at 10pm too. But I'd be happier if it was for coding (nerd that I am). Lots of long hours working (OK, so that's the part I don't do, which is why I'm where I am). And general time efficiency (She manages to work, school, and fun with friends. Me? I just blew 2 hours reading her blog.) Plus some attitude (Born and raised in Massachusetts, lives in the villiage, but she's a Brooklynite. Yeah. Poser. Come ride the N, R, F, Q, A or -godforbid- the L every freaking day and then come talk to me. And I'm not talking the chi-chi yuppieland called Brooklyn Heights either.) Oh well. At least I'm learning how to be a PowerPoint guru.
That'll come in handy one day.
On a bright note: Flash Flash Revolution Baby!

So it's another Saterday and I'm doing nothing but working on the blog. And making a midnight run to the main post office. One of the perks of living in the big city. Trying to get more use out of the camera. But again, the double bag situation frustrated me. Passed bya classic car show in Fort Lee. Getting my camera bag out of my bag, and then the camera out of the camera bag. And by the time all was said and done, the bright red Impala SS had driven off. Doh. OK, time to drop off my mail!

R's going away party nearly imploded. And yet, it was a fun time anyway. Co-workers, alcohol, subway ride home. Lots of semi-heavy talk. Most of it BS. Digital camera was put to more use this time around. And somehow I've been roped into paying for lunch for another co-worker. Sorry. No pictures tonight. Look out for some tomorrow.

So it turns out G was terminated. We all saw it coming, there just wasn't any activity. But why do all the nice ones have to go? As soon as I learn people's names, poof, they're gone. Sales sucks sometimes. How do I batch process all these pics? Well, I use two tools. ReaSoft's ReaConverter Pro does a lot of things, but also happens to convert sizes of pics. The results are really tiny, and are very smoothly rerendered. However, I can only find the shareware 30 version and the price of purchase is $40. SO, I instead use a free tool called resizer. Try to use version 1.0 if you can find it. v 2.0 advanced features are too blurry, and the file sizes are too big.
$40 ReaConverter ProVS.$0 Resizer

A new record for the weekday. Nearly 10PM and still at the office. On the plus side I just discoverred that we have access to office XP, so long as you upgrade it manually through the control panels. Ahh, the mysteries of networked enviroments and XP. Going crazy with the credit card. Mother's Day is coming up. Did you remember to get mom something? Here's what I got. $40 out to the desert. And as soon as I confirm what the heck the groom's name is, here's the wedding gift. And now ... the bag of mystery!
My trusty Eddie Bauer soft briefcase. Purchased about 9 years ago when they were red hot, but now long forgotten. But I love my beat-up bag. And, like a security blanket, I tote it everywhere I go. And yet, I never really thought about what the hell was in the thing. So today, we open up the bag of mystery and find out what I'm lugging every day.
Let's take a look at the front pockets.
A black pen, a red pen, a Sharpie, floppy disk containing who knows what, scratch pad, and a credit card calculator from Radio Shack. Nothing unusual here.
$2.57 in change
The front pocket is divided into forward and rear sections
Tissues (for my allergies), napkins, NJ Transit 159 bus schedule, 2 beat up #10 envelopes, palm sunday palm cross from 2001, and a W33 L32 pants tag from who knows where.
The rear section has all the toys
Camera bag (extra pair of NiMH AA's, 3 memory sticks), video cable for camera, usb cable for camera and Clie, Clie usb/DC adaptor, MTA NYC subway and brooklyn bus maps, 2 brochures from work, pack of cigaretttes I can't give away, 3 American Airlines carryon baggage tags, 2 kinds of floss (waxed and minty waxed), old incorrect UPS delivery receipt from 2/14/2003, and (of course) some life insurance forms I've been meaning to mail since 1/20/2003.
The main pocket.
Cheryl Crow C'mon C'mon CD, newspaper and copied article from 2/4/2003, long term care insurance application, Lexar media rebate form, receipt for plane ticket and car rental for June wedding trip, beat-up clipboard from 1988, mother's day gift receipt, misc. elementary school math calculations, and of course some beat up tissues.
Well, hope you enjoyed the Bag of Mystery. I certainly learned a lot (I learned why my back is killing me).

It's the meetings that are killing me. That and letting my boss know I could do some work at home. So now I HAVE to do work at home. Grrrrrr. Current project is MetroCard routlette. In case you didn't know, fares have been raised for all MTA modes of transportation. It's gonna cost you a whopping $2 a ride to go anywhere. Thank goodness I've got a job that almost pays a living wage. BUT there are grace periods for unlimited ride cards. Unlimited daily cards expired yesterday. Weekly cards expire 1 week from today. Monthly cards expire June 12th. You guessed correct! I've got all three! The daily card wasn't a deal since I only did two rides, and the daily cost me $4. A savings of $0. But the weekly, which I'm on right now, is a $4 savings over the new card, and a $6 savings over paying each way. The monthly card should be a savings of $7. But, of course, I mislabelled all my new cards. Metrocard roulette! Turns out you can't blow $84 on three cards all at once at the same Metrocard machine using American Express. Stoopid anti-theft algorithms. Look soon for the Bag Of Mystery.

Can't play with the colors all day. Made some minor adjustments. Added some more links. Realized that despite best efforts, nobody ever links to my sites. grrrrrr. Changes to come: Color scheme shift to black (or maybe brown) on white. Graphics (a nifty logo in my head that hopefully will come out to play). More links and better organization pictures like you've never seen before blatent ripping off of other people's website design Happy Cinco De Mayo! Now, where's the tequila!
And now for something completely different ...
So on Saterday, after leaving work at 11pm, I'm steps away from the train station when I hear a friendly voice yell out to me. "Working late, eh?" "Sadly so!" I yell back, figuring this to be one of those throwaway encounters. Next thing I know I'm listenning to his upbeat story slowly turn sad, in classic soft touch begging style. How long has it been? Don't I recognize him? He used to be a security guard. They had a big party for him. He got laid off. Big reorg with 3 other buildings. Mother died. Had a breakdown. Corner turned, getting all set up next month. But he needs a few ($24) buck to get a room for the night. No? Well, how 'bout a little to eat then. And of course, he's lying. he knows it, and I know it too. -I guestimate that I've been there only 6 months, he guesses 5 1/2. (It's really now coming up on 8.) -He never worked there, unless Mohammed (I think that's his name) suddenly turned into a skinny black guy. -White haired older guy John never got laid off, unless Mohammed is an old white guy too. (Obviously Mohammed is the only guard that's disappearred during my tenure) -Us folks at the Bank of New York never threw him a going away party, because the Bank of New York doesn't have offices in the Bank of New York building. -The Bowery is a hip trendy place now. You can't get a burger there for $24, much less a room. For a week. -That's not rubbing alcohol I smell. And yet, I still give the guy $5. Not because I'm a kindhearted guy who's a sucker for a sob story (I am). Not because it's the Christian thing to do (rewarding liars is hardly Christian). But because he (barely) passed the shoe test. Open toe sandels on a cold blustry day. My policy is never to give money to people who have better shoes then I. The subway panhandlers have some of the best shoes around. And this dude's sandles were in pretty new condition too. Now I have to go a week without breakfast, so he can go get high for a minute or two.

Too late. Must sleep. But as promised, pictures! The ugliest Jaguar I've ever seen. Who would do that to a car? All pictures taken with my 6 month old Sony DSC-P51 CyberShot 2.1 megapixel camera. Look at the archives of pictures I've inserted into old posts! (The magic shoehorn awaits!)

So once again it's Saterday night and I'm at the compter. Having looked around, I think I'll wait until we're migrated to Dano before pushing the blog onto my private filespace. Seems that the ftp password and ID are flashed 'bout the net without any security. Not a happy thought. BUT, until then there's nothing stopping me from hosting my pics on my filespace and just linking them here. Took me an hour to think of it. I'm a bit tired. So I'm all set. Plane tickets purchased. Car rented. Hotel selected (it's next to Target I think). So of course NOW I get the wedding invitation with the place discount code. I've got to call them tomorrow and find out if I can cut a deal. I doubt it since I purchased via Orbitz. Still taking applications to be my date. I'll give Jeff a call. I wonder if he's packing heat now. Oh, and a big shoutout to Kirk. Checkout his blog. He's The Captain.

Is it really worth it? Staying until 10pm at night. Granted, I got in late at 10AM, but a 12 hours shift? When I'm saleried? And not very well saleried at that? And there's still a boatload of work to be done? Do I really need the stress? Do I need the frustration? Does it make sense that I'm chained to a desk. That I can't even get out of the office to have some free ice cream for two days in a row? When the promotion ends at 10PM. What the hell am I doing?
